How does safer sex help protect me from STDs?
Anybody who has oral, anal, or vaginal sex, or genital skin-to-skin contact with another person who is infected by any of the STDs above will also be infected. Safer sex (often called “safe sex”) means taking steps to protect you and your partner from STDs.
There are so many of ways of making sex safer. One of the best ways is by using a sex barrier — like condoms, female condoms, every single time you have oral, anal, or vaginal sex. These Sex Barriers cover parts of your genitals, protecting you and your partner from body contacts, which can both simply spread any STDs.
Getting tested for STDs is basically part of safer sex, even if you always use sex barriers such as condoms and feel totally fine. Most people with STDs mostly don’t know they’re infected, and with that they can easily transfer the infection to their immediate partners. So to know and be secure you have to test and be sure you are not infected with any STDs
GETTING TESTED IS MOSTLY IMPORTANT, it enables you know and be very conscious of yourself.
